My hometown Yushu City
地处吉林省中北部、松辽平原腹地，
is located in the north central region of Jilin Province and the hinterland of Songliao Plain.
幅员4700平方公里的土地上，
This 4700 square kilometers land
养育着130多万榆树人民。
cultivates more than 1300 thousand Yushu people.
这里的滔滔松江水，
The surging Songjiang River here
流淌着榆树人的追求与豪气；
is where the pursuit and heroism of Yushu people flows.
茫茫黑土地，
The boundless black land
书写着开拓者的心志与足迹
has recorded the wills and footprints of explorers.

禾田碧绿藏灵秀 沃野青葱炫彩霞 

我们榆树钟灵毓秀、人杰地灵，
Our Yushu is a place endowed with the fine aura of the universe and numerous geniuses were born from here.
早在四万年前就有人类活动。
Early in 40 thousand years ago, there was the appearance of human activities here.
古为肃慎、夫余国，三国两晋时期，
During periods of Sushen nationality , the state of Fuyu，the Three Kingdoms and Jin Dynasties,
汉族与鲜卑族纷纷迁到此地。
Han nationality and Xianbei nationality had moved to this place.
这片灵秀沃野
This ethereal and fertile land
孕育了清末于氏“叔侄五进士、兄弟两翰林”的传奇，
has incubated Yu Family’s legendary story in late Qing Dynasty，“One uncle and four nephews were scholars (Jinshi) and two brothers were the members of the Imperial (Hanlin) Academy.
将古榆大地文化发展推向了巅峰；
This story has brought prosperity to the ancient Yushu culture.
张维显、李恩举、杜华昌等抗日英杰，
Zhang Weixian, Li Enju, Du Huachang and other heroes from Anti-Japanese War
为民族大义与救亡真理，
for national righteous cause and salvation
前仆后继，舍身忘死。
successively took part in the war and sacrificed themselves.
二十世纪六、七十年代，
In 20^th century, between 1960s and 1970s,
   “苦战奋斗”的带头人齐殿云，
the frontier of arduous fights, Qi Dianyun
带领村民治山治水治坡，
led villagers to participate in the afforestation, water conservancy and slope management projects.
硬是把一个地薄、畜弱、粮食不能自给的穷乡僻壤，
They have transformed this remote and poor village with weak livestock industry, which was an infertile land not self-sufficient in food,
变成了五谷丰登、六畜兴旺的富庶小乡，
into a little rich town with abundant local products and prosperous livestock industry.  
在吉林大地上树起了“一心想着为国家多做贡献”的旗帜。
In Jilin Province, the spirit of scarification for the country is rising.
走进新时代，
Entering the new century,
“团结豁达、坚韧争先”的榆树人不忘初心，耕耘沃土，
the united, open-minded, persistent and advanced Yushu people keep up with their goals and work hard.
正在为国家粮食安全默默奉献。
They are quietly making contributions to the national food safety.

松辽平原第一仓 万顷粮田种梦想 

这里有沃土良田37.9万公顷，
There is a fertile farmland about 3790 square kilometers.
地处世界著名黄金玉米带、白金水稻带，
It is located in the world-famous and golden cornfield and the platinum rice field.
粮食年产量占全国的1/170，
The annual yield of grains occupies 1/170 of the total yield in China.
商品量和商品率连年居全国县（市）前列，
The commodity volume and commodity rate rank ahead of other cities in China.
连续多年荣获全国粮食生产标兵县市，
Yushu has achieved the title, National Food Production Pilot Counties and Cities.
被誉为“天下第一粮仓”。
It is known as the World No.1 Granary.
这里出去的大米、玉米和特色农产品，
The rice, corn and distinctive agricultural products
形成了“白金、黄金、纯金”三张名片，
are the platinum, golden and fine gold name card
成为了榆树的代名词。
and the representatives of Yushu.
这里现代农业快速发展，
Here the modern agriculture industry develops at a fast rate.
生态牧业持续壮大，
Ecological husbandry is continuously advancing.
畜禽饲养量居吉林省之首。
The volume of livestock and poultry production ranks the first in Jilin Province.

Abundant agriculture and husbandry resources have provided extraordinary conditions to agricultural product processing industry
我们发挥全国首批粮食生产功能区的作用，
The first batch of National Food Production District is fully utilized
